Hydrological Performance of Green Roof Systems: A Numerical Investigation

Green roof systems could help reduce peak discharge and retain rainwater in urban areas. The objective of this study was to investigate the hydrological behavior a green system by using SEEP/W model. rainfall-runoff relationship within simulated results were compared with actual data from test bed for verify applicability SEEP/W. Then, verified model used simulate varying four factors (soil type, rainfall intensity, substrate depth, slope) explore performance through intensity (PD/RI) ratio rain water retention rate. show that presents slightly faster greater time values, respectively, as observational data. This is attributed vegetation conditions real system. However, it also shown can be design evaluate their because its modeling efficiency. Thus, reliably manage further considering flow dynamics.
